Emmaus Church is an Confessional Reformed Church in Sweden, Stockholm, Åkersberga.

Emmaus Church a confessional reformed church is a Swedish speaking family community church reaching out to the local community in Åkersberga, a suburb of Stockholm, with a vision to plant churches in greater Stockholm area.

Where to find us

Åkersberga is in Österåker municipality North East of Stockholm. Read more >>>

If you are coming by car from Stockholm, take the E18 towards Norrtälje and then follow the signs to Åkersberga.

If you are coming by train, take “Roslagsbanan” at 10:05 am from Östra station to Åkersberga station. We will pick you up at the station and take you to our service/biblestudy. Please let us know if you are coming. See further down the page how to contact us.

Emmaus Church is a young church plant with Sunday services or bibelstudies and various activities during the week. Please click on the link below to see our activities in our calendar. Translation to English is provided and our children's workers are also English speaking though the teaching is in Swedish.

Sunday gatherings

Three-four Sundays a month we gather to worship and study the Bible together, either in a service or a bible study. We will either meet at 11:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. on Sundays just depending on when we can rent the building for services.

Children's ministry

We have a children’s group for children over 4 years called "Skatten Mix". A few times each term we have family services where the children’s group will perform a play or sing a few songs.

Our children are active in our church and we have a little sermon for them during our services/bible studies. From time to time we also have an additional Sunday program for the children.

Bible studies and outreach

Ministry in Uppsala

We are running a weekly bible study group in Uppsala with the long-term intention to plant a new church there.
The bible study group is meeting every Tuesday at 7 pm.

Ministry in Södertälje

We are running a weekly bible study group in Södertälje with the long-term intention to plant a new church there.

Men's group - SAG

Emmaus Church runs a fellowship group for men. They meet up once a month to talk about things concerning guys and the Christian perspective of things. They take turns inviting everyone home.

Women's ministry - LiFT

Emmaus Church runs a bible study group for women. They meet every second Monday from 19:30-09:00 pm to study the Scriptures together. They take turns inviting everyone home.

English speaking Bible study in Stockholm

We are running a weekly bible study group in Sunbyberg, Rissne. The group is bilingual (Swedish/English). We meet every Wednesday at 6 pm. See here for more information.
